My name is Meredith Maney. I am the wife of Fredrich Maney whom I married in 2003 in a traditional Scottish ceremony. In the fall of 2006, we became the proud parents of a beautiful daughter. I have a wide variety of activities and interests which I am involved in, including , photography, art, needlework, reading, writing, gardening, Scottish Culture, Heavy Highland Athletics, and Jack Russell Terriers.

I has been involved in photography for over 20 years, and am the founder/president of Maney Photography in Louisville, Kentucky. In that time I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to hone my craft under the influence of some of the areas leading photographers in commercial, event, portrait, and art photography . I have recieved several awards for my work, including two advertising Awards for Excellence in writing and photography at the PRSA/IABC 2006 Landmarks of Excellence Awards, for my work on a public service series sponsored by Middelton Reutlinger for CASA of Jefferson County. I have also served as Assistant Superintendant of Arts and Crafts (Photography) for the Kentucky State Fair in 2006 and 2007.

I hold a B.A. in Science Education (emphasis: Biology, Minors: Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy and Geology) and a M.S. in Secondary Education from the University of Kentucky. After receiving my initial certification through the MIC program at the College of Education at the University of Kentucky, I served as a science teacher at Lexington Catholic High School, in Lexington, KY, where I taught Physical Science, General Biology, and Honors Biology. I am currently working towards completing a B.S. in Biology from the University of Kentucky.
